Vacancy Announcement – Accounts Assistant
Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is looking to hire an Accounts Assistant for a six month contract.
The Accounts Assistant will specifically be responsible for the following:

Accounts Assistant Job Responsibilities

  • Making hyper Accounts Collections;
  • Preparing batch reconciliations for raw materials and packaging materials;
  • Verifying returns;
  • Verifying returned invoices;
  • Preparing customer statements and doing customer reconciliations;
  • Monitoring and posting of stock and doing stock checks through spot checks and stock-take;
  • Inspecting stocks invoiced, issued and dispatched on a daily basis;
  • Providing effective management accounting data to senior management;
  • Producing monthly variance analysis of revenue and expenses and breakdown variances;
  • Receiving, preparing and verifying invoices and sales orders;
  • Tracking, scanning, and filing customer and supplier invoices;
  • Involved in product costing, product movement and pricing;
  • Scrutinizing stocks invoiced, issued and dispatched on a daily basis;
  • Maintaining and reconciling various general ledger accounts; and
  • Any other duties not necessarily mentioned which are in line with your position as an assistant accountant.

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:-

Qualifications for Accounts Assistant Jobs in Kenya

  • Should have CPA II and above;
  • Must have a strong ability to produce and analyze reports rapidly;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage processes and maintain accurate records;
  • Ability to work independently and to maintain flexibility in working hours;
  • Demonstrate effective organisational skills and ability to handle work in an efficient and timely manner;
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate tasks to meet deadlines;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to write in a clear and concise manner and to communicate effectively orally;
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Quick Books, Internet, and other accounting software)
