Christine Ombasa, an Orange Democratic Movement youth leader and ardent supporter is dead! her death comes barely three weeks after the demise of Moureen Tata another ODM stalwart from Western Kenya.
Christine popularly known in the CORD circles as “Iron lady” died today morning 11th August 2015 in a city hospital where she was rushed for medical attention.
According to doctors, Christine collapsed and their efforts to resuscitate her were fruitless.
Until her death Christine was the official shadow Nairobi Women rep, checkmating Hon Rachel Shebesh.
Christine was also a seasoned blogger and a key ally of former Raila Odinga presidential campaign manager Eliud Owalo, Christine camped in Homa Bay in March 2015 to ensure ODM’s candidate captures the controversial by-election.

The Orange party is mourning following the shocking bad news, it is almost three months now since the death of another youth leader Wycliff Onzere.

We can never fully understand God’s way of doing things, but receiving the news of Christine Ombasa’s demise this morning is as shocking as it is heartbreaking. Pole sana to her family, friends, relatives and the Change Movement Family where she spared no breadth to stand for nothing else but principled politics.
