FAFA Medical Training College was officially opened by Kakamega County Deputy Governor H.E. Prof. Philip Museve Kutima.

FAFA Medical Training College located at Imakale, Mayoni Ward Matungu sub county, Kakamega County opened its doors to the world by deputy governor on behalf of the Governor, H.E. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya.
FAFA Medical Training College is a tertiary level institution registered and licensed to offer education and training courses for clinical officers and nurses. In a speech read by his deputy Prof. Philip Kutima, Kakamega Governor H.E. Governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya congratulated the brains behind formation of the outstanding institution and said as one among the private health training institutions in the county, FAFA will impart knowledge and skills to students to enable them provide quality medical care services within the county and beyond. The Governor pointed out learning opportunities accorded to the students in government health facilities as one of the already existing partnership between the county government and the institution to realize growth of both the students career and services at the facilities.
Some of the courses offered at FAFA Medical Training College include: Diploma Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Diploma Nutrition and Dietetics Diploma in Community Health and Development, Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology, Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN). certificate courses:Certificate in Community Health and Development with IT, Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science & Technology with IT, Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics with IT and Certificate in Health Record with IT.
Deputy Governor Prof. Kutima on his part thanked the institution’s executive director and founder Ramadhan Wesaya for the wonderful idea that will positively transform the society. He exuded confidence that the co-operation between the institution and the county government will go beyond what exists currently due to the government’s mission of providing better health services to the residents of Kakamega County. “As a government, we have prioritized provision of health services in the county by ensuring health is the highest funded sector in this year’s budget,” he added.
