Google has announced a new smartphone, tablet, and the company’s first TV streaming device.

The Nexus 6 is the search engine and technology giant’s new flagship phone, featuring a 5.96-inch screen and 13 megapixel rear-facing camera.
Unveiled on the official Google blog, the device will run the new version of the firm’s mobile operating system – Android 5.0, named Lollipop.
As expected, the new Nexus 6 has been manufactured by Motorola.
Google’s senior vice president of Android Sundar Pichai said: “Advances in computing are driven at the intersection of hardware and software.
“That’s why we’ve always introduced Nexus devices alongside our platform releases.

“Rather than creating software in the abstract, we work with hardware partners to build Nexus devices to help push the boundaries of what’s possible.
“Nexus devices also serve as a reference for the ecosystem as they develop on our newest release.

“And for Lollipop, we have a few new Nexus treats to share with you.”
The new Nexus 6 comes with a new feature called Turbo Charger, which can give the phone up to six hours of battery life from just a 15-minute charge.
It will come in two different colours – Midnight Blue and Cloud White.
The new Nexus 9 tablet was also unveiled, a collaboration with fellow technology giant HTC, which manufactured the device.
Google confirmed their new tablet will come with an 8.9-inch screen and HTC’s BoomSound front-facing speakers.
In a less anticipated move, Google also announced the firm’s first full TV streaming device that will run their Android TV software, the Nexus Player.
The Nexus 9 will be available to pre-order in the UK from 17 October and will go on sale on 3 November. The Nexus 6 smartphone will also arrive in November, with pre-order beginning on 29 October. UK prices have not yet been confirmed.
