The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, World Bank and Beyond Zero Trust is offering training opportunities for a Certificate course in  Community  Health  Nursing  commencing  March  2017  in  the  2016/2017  academic  year. Priority will be given to qualified candidates from selected Arid and Semi-Arid (ASAL) counties, underserved minorities and other vulnerable and marginalized groups willing to serve in their communities upon graduation.Applicants are expected to attach a handwritten essay of not more than two hundred (200) words explaining why they feel that they deserve the scholarship and the contribution they will make to the community upon graduation.Applications should be sent so as to reach the Director, KMTC on or before 28th February 2017.
Successful  applicants  will  receive  full  scholarship  for  the  duration  of  the  course. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

1.Valid personal email address. If you don’t have an email address you can easily
create one before you continue with the application process.

1. Log to KMTC website www.kmtc.ac.ke
2. On the menu, click on the PORTAL menu item, the last item on the right side
3. You will land on the online registration portal
4. If you have registered an account, log in using your email and password
5. If you don’t have an account, click on the (Have no account? Register) below the log in form.
6. This will land you to creating account form
7. Enter your email and password
8. Click on Create Account Button
9. An email will be sent to your email address with a link to verify your account.
10. Click on the email link
11. You will be redirected to KMTC portal.
12. Fill in the online application form step by step until it is duly filled.
13. Click on the SUBMIT button
14. You will be provided with the duly filled form to confirm your data
15. Check information accuracy.
16. Once you are satisfied that the information is correct ,Click save changes
17. On the dashboard, click on the “Apply Beyond Zero Scholarship ”
18. Fill the required information
19. Print out the duly completed form, attach relevant documents, have it signed and stamped accordingly and sent to the Director, Kenya Medical Training College, P.O. Box 30195 – 00100 Nairobi

 KMTC scholarship for  2016 For Certificate In Community Nursing Courses
KMTC scholarship applications  ended on 23 rd October 2015. The scholarship is set to fund  400 candidates with Priority  given to qualified candidates from selected Arid and Semi-Arid (Asa) counties of Kwale, Kilifi, Baringo, Turkana, Marsabit, Mandera, WaHr, Samburu, Garissa, Tana River. West Pokot, Elgeyo marakwet. Laildpia, Narok, KaJlado, Taita Taveta, Kitui, Isiolo, Tharaka Nithi, and Lamu. Population minorities and other disadvantaged groups willing to serve In their communities upon graduation.

The scholarship is funded by beyond zero and World Bank.
The training will be done in the following KMTC campuses; Lodwar, Kilifi, Msambweni, Bomet, Oloitoktok, Kapenguria, Kabarnet and Kitui.
