The immediate former Senator of Meru was in high spirits to hand over the senatorial mantle fifty years later to his successor who is none other than Kiraitu Murungi, the Meru senator elect. This is a story of 79 year old Julius Muthamia, one among the few surviving pioneer senators in Kenya.
