Uhuru beat Raila in the hotly contested 2013 elections whose results were disputed by the Opposition before the Supreme Court ruling that validated the President’s victory.
And on Tuesday, Mr Mogeni termed the Jubilee government an ‘economic hell’, and insisted many Kenyans would opt for alternative leadership.
“I think the Jubilee government has been an economic hell to the country. Many things have gone astray with most people struggling to even get a single meal per day due to rise of prices in basic commodities,” he said.
“Uhuru’s government will be rejected by Kenyans and that is for sure. Raila has been in the front line revealing key scandals such as the National Youth Service and Eurobond scandals so Kenyans should be ready for his presidency. The voting trends won’t necessarily be guided by one’s tribe,” he added.
He also questioned the commitment of Jubilee government in implementation projects saying most of them had been initiated during the grand coalition government.
“Most projects such as Standard Gauge Railway and the Lamu port were unveiled by the grand coalition government. What Jubilee has done is to allocate exaggerated amount of money to pave way for corruption,” he said.
“Raila currently enjoys support from at least all regions based on Jubilee’s failure to uplift the country’s economy. The unemployment rate is high and youths may not tolerate this anymore. I won’t be shocked seeing Uhuru being a one term President,” he added.
