1. Administrative Officer

Job Description
Salary Scale 8
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting the board secretary in implementing organizational strategies and policies
  • Assisting the board in implementing of its roles as stipulated in the county Government Act 2012 sec. 12 and County Assemblies Act 2017 sec 11 – as directed by the Assembly Clerk.
  • Assisting in taking board minutes, filing and tracking systems for all board correspondence and office inventory under the supervision of secretary to the board.
  • Carrying out general office management, transport, registry, security and safety of offices
  • In-charge of providing fuel, repairing and maintenance of vehicles and other transport.
  • Provide high standards of professionalism in administrative services.
  • Requirements for the position
  • For direct appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
  • Bachelor degree in social science preferably in administration from a recognized university
  • Holder of a management course certificate from a recognized institution

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recording dictations in shorthand and transcribing it in typewritten form
  • Typing form drafts, manuscripts or recording form dictation machines
  • Processing data • Management of e-office
  • Ensuring security of office/board records, documents and equipment; including classified materials.
  • Preparing responses to simple routine correspondence for the board
  • Management of office protocol; managing of office petty cash; handling telephone calls and appointments
  • Operating office equipment
  • Requirements for the position For direct appointment to this grade a candidate must have:-
  • Higher Diploma, in Secretarial studies or
  • Higher diploma in business and office management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.

3. Fiscal Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out commissioned budget analysis and research on specific areas of interest as deemed necessary by secretary to the board.
  • Carrying Out assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of county government policy relating to allocation and utilization of resources.
  • Assisting in preparing and delivering budgetary information to the board, members and relevant house committees.
  • Assisting a budget workshops planning and participating in the workshops.
  • Assisting in formulating the departmental annual work plan.

Requirements for the position For direct appointment to this grade a candidate must have:-

  • Have relevant work experience with at least 4 years in public Finance related area
  • Have general understanding of national budgetary process and public fiscal policies
  • Have a degree in economics/statistics/mathematics from a recognized university.
