Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero Taught a Lesson By Nairobi Motorists

There is little to dispute about the claim that the pace at which automobiles move on the highways around Nairobi imposes enormous costs in terms of time, spending on fuel and perhaps the anxiety caused by being unable to judge how much time is required to make it for meetings.
Today Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero was a victin of traffic jam  which got him stuck in traffic and had to walk to the meeting at the Kempinski hotel in Westlands from the CBD to officially launch the 18th (AFWA) International Water Congress and exhibition, scheduled to take place at the KICC from February 22nd -26th 2016.
throgh his social media platform, Kidero:

I think I lost a couple of kilos today!
I will ensure that the new raft of traffic measures launched last week by CS Transport and Infrastructure Eng. Michael Kamau and myself takes effect immediately to reduce traffic and congestion in Nairobi.

Understandably, there is public pressure on the county government of Nairobi, together with the State department responsible for infrastructure, to deploy fast solutions to ease traffic congestion.
