Safaricom Lipa Na M-pesa Charges
Lipa na Mpesa is Safaricom’s method of paying bills through mobile money. It is the easiest way a person can transfer money to a business. Each time you use the Paybill option on Lipa Na MPESA, there are transaction charges or a fee. You can pay up to a maximum of Ksh70,000 per transaction.
By using Lipa Na M-PESA business owners can accept payment of goods and services from their customers. They will also handle less cash and will therefore be less susceptible to risks associated with cash handling such as theft and fake currency. In addition, Lipa Na M-PESA will also help traders enhance business efficiency.
Getting a Lipa na M-PESA account is simple; business owners looking to sign up for the service can visit a Safaricom Retail Shop, Safaricom Authorised Dealer or M-PESA Agent with copies of a PIN certificate (for registered businesses) , Identification Card and trading license. Customers will be able to make payments of between Ksh 10 – Ksh 70,000.
To use the Lipa Na M-PESA service, customers will be required to go the M-PESA Menu, select Lipa Na M-PESA and select Buy Goods and services, then enter the Till Number that the merchants will display, and follow subsequent prompts to complete the transactions. Both the merchant and the customer will then get confirmation messages from M-PESA.
