MKU 14th Graduation Ceremony (August 2018) Mount Kenya University: Graduation List, Date, Schedule and Details

The management of the Mount Kenya University (MKU) has released the Congregation Ceremonies Date Schedule for the 2018/2019 academic year.  The MKU 14th Graduation Ceremony Date and Schedule below has released the MKU official website.
The Chancellor, Mount Kenya University, Prof. John Struthers on behalf of the University Council, Management Board and Senate wishes to inform all our esteemed graduands who have qualified for conferment of degrees and various University Academic Awards, that the 14^th Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, 3^rd August, 2018.All prospective graduands should note the following.
MKU GRADUATION VENUE AND GRADUATION DATE:
The graduation ceremony will be held at the Mount Kenya University, Graduation Pavillion Grounds Thika- Garissa Road on Friday, 3^rd August, 2018 at 9.00 am.
MKU GRADUATION CEREMONY
The graduation ceremony will be presided over by the University Chancellor Prof. John Struthers, who will award Diplomas and certificates and confer Degrees.
Guest Speaker:  Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, Vice-Chancellor, Makerere University

MKU GRADUATION REGISTRATION AND CLEARANCE  
Prospective graduands are required to register and clear online for graduation through the University Management Information System on this link https://studentportal.mku.ac.ke . Graduation registration process will be closed on 25^th June, 2018. Students can follow the instructions below to register:

1. Login to student portal
2. Click Information Update
3. Personal Information – Graduation Application Section
4. Select Graduation ceremony then click graduation Registration to save

Graduands are required to have cleared with the University by 5^th July, 2018 for their names to be included in the graduation booklet.
MKU GRADUATION VERIFICATION OF ACADEMIC RECORDS AND ORDER OF NAMES

The Senate-approved graduands lists will be posted on the  University Website;www.mku.ac.ke
MKU GRADUATION REHEARSAL
All graduands intending to participate in the ceremony must attend the rehearsal on Thursday, 2^nd August, 2018 at the Thika- Garissa Road Graduation Pavilion Grounds at10.00 a.m.

MKU GRADUATION GOWNS
Graduands are expected to be in full graduation attire for both the rehearsal and the graduation ceremonies. The graduation gowns will be hired from 23^rd July, 2018 to 1^stAugust, 2018  and will be collected from the respective Deans of Schools at the Main Campus,Thika and from the Examination Offices in respective campuses during office hours.
The hired graduation gowns must be returned by the 17^th August, 2018. Any delay in returning the gown will attract a daily charge of Ksh.500
MKU GRADUATION PUNCTUALITY
On the graduation day, all graduands will participate in the graduands procession in order of their schools at 7.00 am. Graduands and their guests will be expected to have taken their seats by 8.00 am. Those arriving late will not be allowed into the graduation grounds.
