Liverpool FC progressed to the quarter-finals of the 2014/15 FA Cup courtesy of a come-from-behind 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Reds went a goal down when Fraizer Campbell opened the scoring for the Eagles in the 15th minute at Selhurst Park.
But Brendan Rodgers’ side were able to make the most of their dominance by responding through Daniel Sturridge four minutes into the second half before Adam Lallana grabbed the eventual winner with a follow-up finish just before the hour-mark.
The win keeps Liverpool’s hopes alive of making it through to the Wembley final where captain Steven Gerrard would make his ultimate appearances for the Merseyside club.
Championship side Blackburn Rovers have joined the Reds in the final eight by recording a surprise 4-1 win over top flight Stoke City at Ewood Park.
In a similar vein, West Bromwich Albion hammered West Ham United 4-0 at The Hawthorns with special service from the in-form Brown Ideye who netted a double.
