KMTC vs KUCCPS Court Ruling on Admission

Over 3,700 students waiting to join the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) will  have to wait for longer before they get to know their fate the High Court Judge, Justice Onguto, who was expected to give a final ruling  declined to give them a go ahead to  begin studies.
There has a been a tussle between Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services  (KUCCPS)  and Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) on admission  of first years after both bodies went ahead to produce different admission lists for students creating a crisis. KUCCPS moved to Nakuru high court to bar students admitted by KMTC claiming that it is the body mandated under the la w to place students to all learning institutions in Kenya a move which has been declined by KMTC.
KMTC and KUCCPs are battling to control the admission of students to the health training colleges.
KMTC lawyer Paul Lilian and Benson Millimo have however moved  to court to get the order barring students from being admitted to KMCT lifted.  The case will again be heard on Friday and we will update you on the happenings.
